On March 2nd, us Texans got to celebrate a very fun and important event--Texas Independence Day! The Washington-on-the-Brazos site hosted a two day celebration in honor of 177 years of Texas independence.
Drought? What drought? Inks Lake is level-water, making it a fantastic choice for paddlers, swimmers, fishers, divers, splish-splashers and people who aren’t afraid of cliffs called “Devil’s Waterhole.” (read more...)
Unlike my previous trips to parks, my friend and I were finally able to get up and leave on time, so we arrived at Huntsville State Park with the whole day ahead of us. Thank goodness too—Huntsville is a beautiful park! (read more...)
