State: Colorado
Age: 26
Bio: Ever since I was young I've been exploring the out-of-doors. From family camping trips and scouting events to backpacking and rock climbing, I've always been open to find the next adventure. I attended The School for Field Studies in Kenya, exploring the interaction between humans and elephants, worked many years at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, and have worked as a research assistant on a wind farm in Texas. Texas native, I grew up visiting Colorado a few times a year. After attending Texas Chrisitian University for a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, I decided it was just about time to move to the state I couldn't keep away from. This past summer I worked at Mueller State Park in Colorado as a Park Naturalist, expanding my knowledge of my favorite state and sharing my joy of the wilderness with the park's visitors.
I Am A State Park Ambassador Because: I want to show people around the nation that not only does Colorado have great National Parks, but a diverse amount of State Parks to visit. Hopefully through my experiences, others will get the itch to explore Colorado even more.

Coolest Thing I've Seen In Parks: Lava trees in Hawaii's Lava Tree State Park. The trees were incredibly majestic, almost like standing soldiers guarding the island. Wandering among them felt like I was brough into a different world.

Music Played At My Campfire: Bluegrass....... or just skip to the scarey stories!
What Not To Miss In My State's Parks: It'd be a shame to visit one of the parks and not attend some of the events the parks' host.

This Sums It All Up For Me: Laughter is sunshine; it chases winter from the human face. -Victor Hugo
