State: South Carolina
Age: 24
Bio: I'm a native Texan who loves living in South Carolina because of the close proximity to both the beach and the mountains. I spent my childhood summers hiking and spending time with my family in the mountains in Tennessee, and camping with my girl scout troop in Texas. I'm pursuing a degree in public relations from the University of South Carolina and interning at South Carolina Dept. of Parks, Recreation and Tourism.
I Am A State Park Ambassador Because: I really want to raise the awareness of state parks for my generation. I hope that others my age will see the ambassadors' articles and videos and realize the opportunities for adventure that the outdoors have for them. Everyone ought to feel encouraged to head out to the parks rather than sit around indoors.
