State: Arizona
Age: 27
Bio: I was fortunate enough to have spent my childhood exploring both the mountains of Wyoming and the deserts of Arizona. Nature was a big part of my life growing up and is something I've cherished throughout my life and into adulthood. I'm currently a student at Arizona State University where I'm studying Parks and Recreation Management.
I Am A State Park Ambassador Because: I believe getting people involved with nature is a crucial step in recognizing that we are all but a small part of a much larger picture; that the world extends far beyond our own community to include all things. I believe when one experiences in person how in fact they are part of nature rather than apart from it, they begin to realize the importance of their actions and decisions and how they affect the community as a whole. When we begin to see how humans and nature and the world interact as one, we begin to see the significant influence we as human beings posses. There is no better place to start fostering the idea that we are all in this together than in our nation's young people. I would like nothing more than to be part of that.
