I Am A State Park Ambassador Because: Becoming a State Park Ambassador, I am presented with a unique opportunity to represent my community and to encourage the upcoming generation to take advantage of the beauty in our backyards. In an otherwise hectic world, state parks are havens to enjoy time with family, try something adventurous, promote healthy lifestyles, and be a witness to nature's untainted splendor. I have greatly enjoyed my local park, both as a visitor and summer staff member, and hope to introduce more of today's youth to the great outdoors!

Coolest Thing I've Seen In Parks: Seeing is a product of what we experience, and it amazes me as to the number of things that can be experienced in a park. From canoeing, biking, fishing, and swimming to hiking, camping, and even watermelon seed-spitting contests, the activities are endless. There is something for everyone, young and old, whether a local or someone simply passing through. The draw of nature to so many diverse individuals is truly an awesome sight to see.
