Bio: My name is Ty Cornett. I enjoy fishing, riding bikes, and camping. I also enjoy attending our annual fiddlers convention that I sometimes compete in. One of my favorite things to do is hang out with my friends on the weekends. My favorite subject in school is English. After graduating high school I plan to attend one of the Virginia state colleges.

I Am A State Park Ambassador Because: The reason I wanted to become a State Park Ambassador is because I enjoy being outdoors and fishing. I became very interested in parks after a family vacation to Yellowstone National Park. I would like to learn more about state parks in our nation, and meet other people from around the country.

Coolest Thing I've Seen In Parks: The coolest thing I saw was the Great Salt Lake at Antelope Island State Park in Salt Lake City, Utah. Nothing lives there except for brine shrimp and flies. There were thousands of birds. I learned that the Great Salt Lake is in places eight times saltier than the ocean. There were also lots of buffalo and antelope grazing near the lake. There was a neat museum there where I learned lots of interesting facts. The Great Salt Lake itself was desolate and beautiful.
