State: Virginia
Park: Smith Mountain Lake State Park
Age: 27
Bio: I live in the woods surrounded by streams and creeks with my boyfriend, my cat and dove. Beyond this land are wide fields and large farms and beyond that, the beautiful lake. I may be 45 minutes from the city, but that is the way I like it to be. I am a collecter, a traveler, a seeker of peace and an adventurer. I love to camp and hike, and my spring and summer are usually filled with many shows and music festivals. I have great friends and a great family that I love dearly. Life is sweet, yet simple, and each day is always a blessing for me.
I Am A State Park Ambassador Because: In the summer of 2010 I was a Maintenance Ranger, and it helped me fall even more in love with the park and what is has to offer us. I have a passion for wildlife and an absolute desire to encourage others to appreciate this land and get outside, so it is a honor to be a YA and to explore Virginia and have fun doing what I love to do. I have volunteered for various organizations for the past 5 years, but this one above all, seems to be my greatest opportunity to serve this town, this state, and our world.
