State: Utah
Age: 23
Bio: I am a patient, passionate, imaginative, working student, close to finishing a degree in Liberal Arts from Utah State University. My childhood days were spent roaming fields, boat racing in the creeks, instigating the occasional cow pie or dirt clod war, and on the softball field, with my family watching just about every ever inning played. It is because of the precious time spent playing outside, that I have developed a strong sense of satisfaction in exploring and expressing my imagination and creativity through photographs, words and designing. The older I get, the more of kid I become. I love to ski, snowshoe, hike, bike, rock climb, camp and tube (I have yet to successfully waterski). Utah is my home state and full of endless landscape eye candy and adventure.
I Am A State Park Ambassador Because: I want to help play a part in sharing the value of experiencing the most beautiful and scenic places set aside throughout the state, that they may be kept to be enjoyed by my future family and generations of Americans. The working man is entitled to more than a bare existence (Former Virginia Governor George C. Perry). For a society to function at it's best, the success depends on family units. State Parks harbor crucial opportunities in all aspects for healthy growth and interaction between children, parents, neighbors, communities and society as a whole through volunteering and recreation. In the words of Richard Louv, nature does not steal time; it amplifies it, and might I add, the human interaction.
