The Utah State Parks Road Trip was a success! Leaving Antelope Island on May 12th, the team of six set out to visit all of Utah's 43 state parks, and returned triumphant on May 15th. Check out highlights from their trip at www.utahstateparksroadtrip.com.
Just before the official launch of the road trip, a new deck was dedicated near the marina on Antelope Island. A sailboat and shrimping boat complete the new display, showcasing the long history of the brine shrimp industry with the Great Salt Lake. Come explore! You may even glimpse the prestigious bison, Causeway.
On a busy summer weekend I visited McIntosh Woods State Park. I noticed this is a popular place for boaters, as many families and fishermen were using the ramp to access Clear Lake the day I was there. (read more...)
On May 4, 2012, 7th graders from the Wheatland School District planted Trees for Wyoming. Sixty students planted 600 saplings at Guernsey State Park with the guidance of State Park staff and National Conservation Corps members (NCC). (read more...)
