Foster Falls Festival of lights was held December 2nd and 3rd. More than 5000 individual food cans were collected, for the Agappe Food bank in Wytheville VA, also 300 toys for Santas workshop of social services were donated. There were many displays of lights, and there was a chocie of either a hayride or a horse drawn carriage. Overall it was a great success for the community.
On a busy summer weekend I visited McIntosh Woods State Park. I noticed this is a popular place for boaters, as many families and fishermen were using the ramp to access Clear Lake the day I was there. (read more...)
On May 4, 2012, 7th graders from the Wheatland School District planted Trees for Wyoming. Sixty students planted 600 saplings at Guernsey State Park with the guidance of State Park staff and National Conservation Corps members (NCC). (read more...)
