The iconic Paramount Theater in Asbury Park has been shut down, the same goes for the Convention Hall.
Both areas were deemed unsafe for human occupancy by Madison Marquette after the city of Asbury Park gave them default with regards to safety concerns.
With the pandemic toning down and entertainment and live music are already allowed, this is a full blow in terms of revenue for Madison Marquette. Some of the scheduled acts at the Paramount Theater have been moved to the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank.
There is no official word on when or if the needed repairs will be completed but the grand arcade and all the businesses in the arcade are safe and will remain open as per management.
