Delaware State Parks & Zoo Waive Entry Fees Friday for #OptOutside Movement

Everyone is invited to enjoy free entry at the Delaware zoo and all state parks on Friday, Nov. 26, 2021. This is done as part of the #OptOutside movement. All visitors are encouraged to post their photos on their social media sites with the #OptOutside hashtag. Face masks are required for ALL individuals above 2 years old, regardless of vaccine status. Children younger than 2 years old should not wear masks to avoid the risk of suffocation. Biden kicks off weekend by flying to Brandywine Creek State Park

President Joe Biden kicks off the weekend by flying to Brandywine Creek State Park. Biden then traveled about 15 minutes via motorcade to his home near Greenville, Delaware. Biden returned to Delaware after offering remarks on recent figures that showed slower-than-expected growth in new jobs, but with a lower unemployment rate. Flight restrictions in the Wilmington area will remain in the Wilmington area until Monday. The president spends many of his weekends at his northern Delaware home. Large-sizes buoy swept ashore in Delaware Seashore State Park

A very large buoy was found on the shores of Conquest Beach in Delaware Seashore State Park. The buoy's size was almost the same size as that of a car. The buoy is used to anchor an experimental, wave-powered machine near the Delaware coast, washed up in Conquest Beach in Delaware Seashore State Park. The machine is a wave energy converter, where freshwater is being made using wave energy to desalinate seawater.
