East Feliciana Parish State Park will host the annual re-enactment of the Siege at the Port Hudson Historic Site for one weekend starting this November 6, 2021.

The Port Hudson State Historic Site will commemorate the 158th anniversary of the longest siege in America that killed thousands of men at Port Hudon. From May 22 to July 9 in 1863, the siege was a major victory for the Union’s forces against the Confederacy.

Along with re-enactments, the event will have a living history, artillery, and gunshot demonstrations. Zachary High School will sell concessions. Admissions are four dollars per person but children three and under get in for free.
