Crowder State Park offers series of guide trails starting from October 9 at 10 a.m. to noon. Park staff members invite the public to the Tall Oaks Trail fall hike. Participants will meet at the campground amphitheater at 10 a.m. to start the guided 4.2-mile. Park staff will first talk over plants, trees, and animals along the trail. Tall Oaks Trail is a diverse trail with a wide variety of natural communities found throughout the park.
The staff of Crowder State Park west of Trenton also offers a foliage tour named The Fall Colors Bus Tours, on October 16th and 17th about every half hour from 1 o’clock to 3:30. The tours will be in the Thompson Cemetery area.
The Redbud Fall Hike, a 2 mile guided hike will also be held at the Crowder State Park west of Trenton on October 23rd, participants will meet for discussion at the amphitheater at 10 am. The guide will discuss trees, plants, animals, and trees along the way.
All participants are advised to dress up for the weather, preferably sturdy shoes. They are also advised to bring water and insect repellant. They are also strongly encouraged to follow social-distancing guidelines and be proactive in protecting themselves and others.
