The availability and completion of the 1,300 ft. long elevated boardwalk or walkway, which is a part of a multi-year $3.5 million project was proudly announced by the Park Officials. Construction of the walkway at the Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, which is part of the California State Parks, started in November of 2019 and was finished recently.

The Walkway now protects the Grove of Titans’ trees. This project successfully provides environmentally safe access to the Grove of Titans and nearby forests.

Aside from the walkway, the 3-mile Mill Creek Trail is currently being restored. It is expected to be finished by the early summer of 2022.

Visitors can now enjoy hiking and walking through the Grove of Titans without worrying about damaging the roots of the redwood trees.
