SANTA FE, N.M – Hyde Memorial State Park’s main camping loop will be temporarily closed until further notice starting October 4, 2021.

This closure is due to the construction and installation of the park’s new solar system. This project will provide all of the park’s electricity needs and after completion, Hyde Memorial State Park will be the first state park in New Mexico to be self-sustaining using renewable energy resources.

The time of completion is estimated to be in May next year, but the sites on the west side of Highway 475 will remain available to the public.
