Mormon Station State Park is home to several historic buildings that offer visitors a glimpse into the area’s rich history.

The park’s main attraction is the original trading post building, which was constructed in 1851 and served as the first permanent non-native settlement in Nevada.

The trading post was established by a group of Mormon pioneers who were traveling through the area on their way to California. It has been restored to its 1860s appearance, complete with period furnishings and exhibits that showcase the history and culture of the pioneers who settled in the area.

In addition to the trading post, the park features several other historic buildings, including a replica of the original Genoa courthouse and a blacksmith shop.

The courthouse replica was built in 1950 and serves as a museum that houses artifacts and exhibits that highlight the area’s history.

The blacksmith shop was also built in the 1950s and features tools and equipment used by blacksmiths during the 19th century.
