A re-dedication ceremony at Col. Allensworth State Historic Park was done last Saturday in California.
Busloads of tourists, visitors, and locals went to this popular California state park to celebrate the re-dedication of California’s first Black-founded town.
This was an important mark to help remember that the town was prosperous until racism caused the African Americans to differ.
It’s part of American history. Allensworth was a shining example of Black self-sufficiency and properity.
