Successful turtle nesting at Myrtle Beach State Park

Turtle season at the Myrtle Beach State Park is ending and the final batches of hatchlings were seen last week. The inventory of the nests shows that the nesting was successful. Inventory supply data to help monitor endangered species of turtles. Note that if you want to see the turtles at night, use red flashlights since white lights can disorient the adult and baby turtles. Sea turtles are protected under the Federal Endangered Species Act of 1973. As a reminder, it is illegal to disturb or harass sea turtles and results in steep fines or violations.
