100 years! Oregon State Parks are gearing up for its centennial celebration

Next year marks Oregon State Parks' 100th anniversary and they will be having an astounding one-year-long celebration to commemorate their 100 years. Oregon Parks and Recreation Department said that it all began with just a 5-acre piece of land donation in 1922. Sarah Helmick State Recreation Site became Oregon's first official state park. A century later, the state park system has grown to 254 properties and more than 100,000 total acres!
