Prophetstown State Park’s Annual Trail of Scarecrows is back for its 12th year! It will run through until Nov. 7, from 7am-10pm.

The Trail of Scarecrows kick-off as a fundraising campaign for the park’s Interpretive Services Fund. It includes anything from funding the care for our animals in the park to funding for education ambassadors to covering cultural programming.

Guests are welcome to visit the Prophetstown State Park trail to see and vote on their favorite scarecrow. The scarecrow with the most votes will win a variety of prizes. Guests who want to vote by picking up a voting ballot at the park’s main gate, camp gate, or visitor’s center.

Each vote is equal to one penny. Prizes in the previous event are annual entrance permits to our Indiana State Parks, free shelter rentals, free programming for groups, and the aquatic center passes.

Aside from the Trail of Scarecrow, the annual Fall Fest will be taking place from Oct. 15-17 followed by the Trick or Treat with the animals on Oct. 30.
