A rare eastern spotted skunk has been spotted near Tallulah Gorge State Park in northeast Georgia. The elusive critter is now rare and the reason for the decline in its population is unclear.
The last time it was spotted and someone managed to take a photo of it was way back in 2018.
The public is being asked to help track the rare skunk. The information will be used by researchers and state wildlife agencies to monitor the species and its status.
