Blydenburgh County Park is one of the largest parks in Suffolk County, spanning 627 acres of rolling, wooded terrain in Smithtown, Long Island. The park has long been centered around Stump Pond — however, in August 2024, severe flash flooding caused the dam to collapse, completely draining the pond. Despite this significant change, the park remains a popular destination for hiking, trail running, camping, and dog walking on its extensive 12-mile trail network.

⚠️ Stump Pond Update (2024): In August 2024, severe flash flooding caused the Stump Pond dam to collapse, completely draining the 115-acre pond. The former lake bed is now a meadow-like landscape.
