🏖️ 223-Pad Campground With 5 Lakes, a Floating Obstacle Course, and Platte River Paddling — 30 Minutes From Omaha — A 192-acre family SRA with Nebraska’s best camping complex, swimming beach, bass fishing, watercraft rentals, and ninja-warrior water playground — Cass County, Nebraska

Louisville State Recreation Area is Nebraska’s premier family camping destination — a compact but feature-packed 192-acre recreation area on the south bank of the Platte River, just 30 minutes south of Omaha. What it lacks in wilderness solitude, it makes up for with 223 all-weather camping pads (20/30/50-amp hookups), five sandpit lakes covering 50 surface acres, and one of the best swimming complexes in the state park system.

The park is particularly popular with families thanks to a floating ninja-warrior-style obstacle course on the swimming lake, watercraft rentals (kayaks, paddleboards, water bikes), and excellent fishing for bass, walleye, catfish, and crappie. Its location near Platte River, Mahoney, and Schramm Park SRAs makes it part of Nebraska’s densest outdoor recreation corridor.
