🏙️ Boston’s Best-Kept Urban Beach — 747s Landing Over Your Beach Towel — Constitution Beach in East Boston, Massachusetts, managed by DCR, swimming beach on Boston Harbor, lifeguards, playground, bathhouse, picnic areas, tennis courts, Boston skyline views, Logan Airport runway views, Blue Line T access — Suffolk County, MA

The planes come in low — really low. At Constitution Beach in East Boston, 747s and A321s descend over the harbor on final approach to Logan Airport, maybe 500 feet above your beach towel. For plane-spotting kids (and adults who won’t admit it), this is better than an air show. For everyone else, it’s a free urban beach with the Boston skyline across the harbor.

This is Boston’s most accessible beach — a 10-minute Blue Line subway ride from downtown. Sandy shore, lifeguards in summer, a playground, basketball courts, a bathhouse with changing rooms, and views that stretch from the Bunker Hill Monument to the harbor islands. It’s not Cape Cod. It’s better — because you don’t need a car.
