While boating, park guests are advised to follow park rules and regulations, including requirements for life jackets and boating safety equipment.

Swimming at Silver Lake State Park
During the heat of the summer many people take the opportunity to enjoy a cooling dip at Silver Lake State Park.
Located within the lake is a picturesque beach area which has been specifically designated for swimming. It is a terrific place to spend a day soaking up the sun, playing in the water, and enjoying the park’s scenic beauty.
The beach area is staffed with lifeguards during the summer months, and the park also has a concession stand that offers food, drinks, and other amenities.
Visitors are advised to be prepared for a day at the beach, with sunscreen, hats, and appropriate clothing. It is recommended they wear life jackets and other safety equipment whilst swimming too.
Fishing at Silver Lake State Park

Additionally, pets are not allowed in park buildings or in designated wilderness areas and they are prohibited from entering the designated swimming areas or beaches.
Camping

The campground has both tent and RV camping sites, and some of the sites have electric hookups. It also features modern restrooms and hot showers.
Campers should follow park rules and regulations during their stay at the campground, including fire restrictions, quiet hours and bear-resistant food storage regulations.
