Waterloo Village brings New Jersey’s canal era back to life — the Morris Canal stretched 102 miles from Phillipsburg to Newark, carrying coal and iron across the New Jersey Highlands. Waterloo was a key stopover where canal boats, merchants, and travelers converged.
