Fairfield Lake State Park

There is no longer a state park named Fairfield Lake State Park in Texas. For the parks that do exist, see our Texas state parks overview.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department ran Fairfield Lake State Park in Freestone County for almost 50 years on land it leased from the owner. After the lease ended in February 2023, the land was sold to a private developer. In December 2023 the state dropped its eminent domain case to take the property back.
