Scarborough Beach State Park is one of southern Maine’s most beloved beach destinations — a long, sandy beach with surprisingly warm summer water temperatures and consistent waves that attract swimmers, surfers, and paddleboarders. The scenic sand dunes and protected piping plover nesting areas add ecological significance to this popular day-use park, while seasonal lifeguards, changing rooms, and rental equipment make it accessible for all visitors.
