Bradley is a public reserved lot on the Penobscot River near the town of Bradley, adjacent to Indian Island โ€” home of the Penobscot Nation. The Penobscot people have lived along this river for at least 11,000 years, and the river itself is named from their word “Panawahpskek” meaning “the place of the descending ledge” (describing the falls at Old Town). The lot provides river access for fishing and boating.

Things to Do

Fishing the restored Penobscot River, kayaking and canoeing, birdwatching for bald eagles, and witnessing the results of America’s largest river restoration project.
