About Frutchey
Frutchey State Park in Catawba County provides day-use recreation in the western Piedmont foothills โ the transition zone between the Piedmont plateau and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The park sits in one of North Carolina’s furniture-manufacturing heartlands, where Catawba County’s hardwood forests fueled an industry that made the region the “Furniture Capital of the World” in the mid-20th century.
