Ridley Creek State Park
Ridley Creek State Park is a 2,606-acre forested escape in Delaware County, Pennsylvania — just 25 miles from downtown Philadelphia — where 13 miles of woodland trails, a 1915 English manor mansion, a colonial-era living history farm, and a National Historic District with structures dating to 1683 create one of the finest suburban state parks in the eastern United States.

Hunting Hill Mansion
The park office is housed in the Hunting Hill Mansion, an impressive English country manor built by the Jeffords family in 1915 — constructed around an original 1789 Pennsylvania stone farmhouse. The gray stone architecture is echoed throughout the park’s other structures, giving Ridley Creek a distinctive estate-park character.
Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation
The Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation is a 112-acre living history farm interpreting daily life between 1760 and 1790. Costumed interpreters demonstrate 18th-century farming, cooking, and trades. Period-appropriate livestock and restored colonial buildings make it one of the most authentic Revolutionary War-era farm experiences in the Mid-Atlantic.

History
The area was originally settled by English Quakers in the 17th century. The park is a National Historic District containing 24 historic properties — many of which are farmsteads that have been in continuous family ownership since the 1600s. The Worrel House (1683) is the oldest structure. The Sycamore Mills complex housed water, plaster, and rolling mills from the 1700s to the early 1900s.
