Visitor Tips
Skylandia Park is operated by the Tahoe City Public Utility District, so California state park passes and day-use fees do not apply. Dogs are allowed on leash in the park but not on the beach, according to the district’s park page.

Skylandia State Park — on the north shore of Lake Tahoe — provides beach access and picnicking in a Jeffrey pine forest setting. The park — formerly the estate of Lora Josephine Knight (the woman who built Vikingsholm at Emerald Bay) — has a quiet, less-crowded beach.
