Brian Booth State Park is a day-use park on the central Oregon coast between Newport and Seal Rock, made up of two areas: Ona Beach, with day use and beach access on US 101, and Beaver Creek State Natural Area, about a mile east. Oregon State Parks bought the land between 1938 and 1968, and the park was called Ona Beach State Park until 2013.

Wildlife & Nature
Brian Booth State Park takes in the Beaver Creek marsh and estuary, and the creek reaches the Pacific at Ona Beach. Oregon State Parks describes the marsh as critical habitat for coho salmon, cutthroat trout and winter steelhead, and as home to river otter, beaver and migratory and resident birds. Roosevelt elk, deer, coyote and the occasional black bear and cougar live in the meadows and forests around the marsh. A viewing deck about a mile east of Ona Beach overlooks the marsh, with interpretive panels on its ecology and wildlife.

Seal Rock State Recreation Site, about 2 miles south, has large offshore rock formations and tidepools. Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport features a walk-through shark tunnel and seabird aviary. Hatfield Marine Science Center provides free marine science exhibits. Newport’s Bayfront has working fishing boats, seafood restaurants, and resident sea lions. Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area features Oregon’s tallest lighthouse and excellent tidepools. Nye Beach in Newport — a historic arts district — has galleries and boutiques.
