Charles A. Lindbergh SP — on the Mississippi River near Little Falls — preserves the boyhood home of Charles Lindbergh, the first person to fly solo across the Atlantic (1927). The park’s river bluffs, hardwood forest, and floodplain support bald eagles, great blue herons, and river otters. Wood ducks nest in the forest. Pileated woodpeckers drum the mature trees.
