Lake Greeson State Park is a federal recreation site in Arkansas in Pike County, managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The Corps built the lake between 1947 and 1950.

Location & Getting There
Lake Greeson lies on the Little Missouri River in Pike County, Arkansas, near Murfreesboro. The park’s coordinates are 34.2339, -93.7408.
Things to Do
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers built Lake Greeson for flood control and hydropower. The lake is about 12 miles long and is surrounded by 15,842 acres of federal public land. The Corps lists camping, fishing, hunting, trails and boating, with eight boat ramps for water skiing, tubing, personal watercraft and fishing. The Bear Creek Cycle Trail is the only trail open to ATVs, UTVs and dirt bikes. Source: USACE Vicksburg District, as of October 2026.
Visitor Tips
Lake Greeson is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lake (Vicksburg District), not an Arkansas state park, so arkansasstateparks.com reservations do not apply. Book the Corps campgrounds around the lake through Recreation.gov (1-877-444-6777). Four marinas sell fuel and supplies and rent boats, and two of them have cabins. Ticks are very active March through October, so take precautions.
