Wallace Falls State Park — 4,735 acres in the Cascade foothills of Snohomish County — features the stunning Wallace Falls, a series of nine cascades dropping over 1,000 feet total along the Wallace River. The main falls — a 265-foot plunge visible from the trail — is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in western Washington. The 5.6-mile round-trip trail gains 1,300 feet through old-growth and second-growth forest. Black bears inhabit the forest. American dippers bob in the river pools. Bald eagles nest in the tall conifers. Salmon and steelhead spawn in the Wallace River.
