Elsewhere, the park also offers several other picnic areas, including the Upper Day-Use Area and the Lower Day-Use Area.

Pets

Wingfoot Lake State Park is a pet-friendly park, allowing visitors to bring their furry friends along for their outdoor adventures. However, as with all state parks in Ohio, there are certain rules and regulations that pet owners must follow to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all visitors, both human and animal.

One of these regulations includes the requirement of your pet to be kept on a leash of no more than six feet in length. Another is that they are not allowed in the designated swimming areas of the park, which includes the beach and lake.

Camping

Camping at Wingfoot Lake State Park is a great way to experience the beauty of the park’s natural environment and enjoy the many recreational opportunities available in the area.

Overall, the park’s campground features 103 campsites, many of which offer electric hookups and some of which come with full hookups for RVs. The campsites are spacious and provide a nice mix of sun and shade. Visitors can choose from sites near the lake or in the woods.

To support these campsites, the park provides a range of amenities including showers, restrooms, a dump station, and a camp store where visitors can purchase camping supplies and groceries.

In addition to the park’s main campground, visitors can also choose to camp in the park’s primitive camping area, which offers a more secluded and back-to-nature camping experience. The primitive camping area features 10 sites, each with a picnic table and fire ring, but no electric or water hookups. Visitors must pack in and pack out all of their own supplies, and the area is only accessible by foot or bike.

Should you visit the park in a larger group, there is also a group camp area that can accommodate up to 50 people. It offers a large fire ring, picnic tables, and a nearby vault toilet.
