About Erie Bluffs

Erie Bluffs State Park in Erie County preserves one of the last undeveloped stretches of Lake Erie shoreline in Ohio — 600 acres of coastal bluffs rising 60 feet above the lake. The park’s 1-mile beach is Ohio’s most pristine Lake Erie shore. Before European settlement, Lake Erie’s shoreline was nearly continuous beach; today, over 95% is developed. The park protects rare coastal ecosystems including sand plain grasslands and coastal wetlands.
