At its heart lies the magnificent 1,275-acre Lake Marburg, stretching 26 miles of shoreline and offering some of the best warmwater fishing in the region. With 198 campsites, 19 miles of trails, and a seasonal swimming pool, Codorus delivers year-round recreation.

No—swimming in Lake Marburg is not permitted due to fluctuating water levels. However, the park has a large seasonal swimming pool open Memorial Day through Labor Day, complete with an accessible ramp and snack bar.

What kind of boats are allowed?

Motorboats (limited to 20 horsepower), sailboats, kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards are all welcome. The park has seven boat launch ramps and offers rentals including pontoons, motorboats, kayaks, and paddleboats.

What fish can I catch?

Lake Marburg is a warmwater fishery with largemouth bass, trout (stocked), perch, catfish, and crappie. Shore fishing and boat fishing are both popular. Ice fishing is available in winter when conditions permit.

Is camping available year-round?

The 198-site campground is open from mid-April through mid-October. Sites accommodate tents and RVs up to 50 feet, with many offering electric hookups. Glamping options are coming in 2026!

Are there mountain biking trails?

Yes! The park has a dedicated 195-acre mountain biking area with trails designed for MTB enthusiasts. Equestrian trails are also available.
