Named for legendary sportscaster Curt Gowdy (a Wyoming native), the park features three reservoirs — Granite Springs, Crystal, and North Crow — providing diverse fishing opportunities, over 150 campsites for tents and RVs plus cabin rentals, fishing for rainbow trout, brown trout, cutthroat trout, and kokanee salmon, an internationally recognized “Epic” rated mountain biking trail system (IMBA designation) and hiking trails through granite rock formations and pine forest, an archery range, equestrian trails, boating with horsepower limits on certain reservoirs, wildlife viewing for mule deer, pronghorn, and raptors, and stunning views of the Medicine Bow Mountains.

The “Epic” rated mountain biking trails are the star attraction — the IMBA (International Mountain Bicycling Association) Epic designation puts Curt Gowdy in elite company among the best singletrack in the American West. Trails wind through granite outcrops and ponderosa pine.
