💒 Weddings at Golden Gate Canyon

Golden Gate Canyon offers one of Colorado’s most affordable mountain wedding venues — the Red Barn Group Picnic Area, where aspen groves and towering pines create a natural cathedral at a fraction of Front Range venue prices.

Red Barn Venue Details Capacity: Up to 150 guests (100 seated, 80 at ceremony area) Season: May through October, 10 AM – 10 PM daily Cost: $150 Mon–Fri / $200 Sat–Sun (+ $10 reservation fee) Parking: 25 vehicles + $10/vehicle park entrance fee

The Red Barn is the only approved wedding location in the park (Panorama Point no longer allows events). Two renovated historic barns provide electrical outlets and lighting, with an outdoor fireplace, picnic tables (sheltered and open), a campfire ring, and vault toilets.

Planning Tips

  • Fall weddings are spectacular — aspen foliage peaks in late September/early October
  • No potable water — bring your own for guests and catering
  • No cell service — provide GPS coordinates and printed directions to guests
  • Barns are covered but not enclosed — plan for weather
  • Add supplemental string lights for evening events
  • Late October bookings risk snow on the access road

Reservations open 6 months in advance through cpwshop.com or by calling 800-244-5613. Carpool recommended — parking is limited.
