Just 30 minutes from downtown Detroit in the suburban community of Northville, a thousand-acre pocket of rolling woodland and open meadow survives as one of the finest multi-use recreation parks in southeast Michigan. Maybury State Park isn’t wilderness — it’s something arguably more valuable: a beautifully maintained four-season outdoor escape serving a metropolitan area of 4.3 million people, offering everything from horseback riding and mountain biking to cross-country skiing and a working farm.
