Yes! Sibley State Park has a sandy swimming beach at Lake Andrew. The beach is open seasonally from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Lake Andrew is quite popular for summer swimming and also offers boating and fishing. The park encompasses five lakes total, with Lake Andrew being the main hub for water activities.

What fish can you catch at Sibley State Park?

Lake Andrew and other lakes in Sibley State Park are home to catfish, bass, crappie, sunfish, perch, and bullhead. The park provides fishing piers and a fish cleaning station. A valid Minnesota fishing license is required for anglers 17 and older. Boats can be launched near Lakeview Campground into Lake Andrew. General Minnesota fishing regulations apply.

Is Lakeview Campground open at Sibley?

Lakeview Campground underwent extensive renovations and was closed throughout 2024. It is scheduled to reopen May 16, 2025 with improved facilities—41 sites including 40 with electric hookups. In the meantime, Oakridge Campground remains fully operational with 58 sites (34 electric, 24 non-electric). The park also has 4 year-round camper cabins available.
